Impedance spectroscopy was utilized to investigate the dielectric properties, ac conductivity and charge transport mechanisms in propylene-alt-CO/ethylene-alt-CO (EPEC) random terpolymer filled with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) as a function of nanofiller content, frequency, and temperature. Equivalent resistor-capacitor (RC) circuit models were proposed to describe the impedance characteristics of the unfilled terpolymer and the nanocomposite at different temperatures. For the nanocomposites, the ac conductivity tended to be frequency independent at low frequencies. At high frequencies, the ac conductivity increased with frequency. The dc conductivity (i.e., plateau of the ac conductivity at low frequencies) at room temperature increased from 10?9 (Ω·m)?1 for the unfilled polymer to l0?3 (Ω·m)?1 for the 6 wt% MWCNT/EPEC nanocomposite. At low temperatures, the equivalent RC model for EPEC-0 and EPEC-2 was found to consist of a parallel RC circuit. However, for 6 wt% MWCNT/EPEC nanocomposite, an RC model consisting of an R/constant phase element (CPE) circuit and a resistor in series was required to describe the impedance behavior of the nanocomposite. 相似文献

A novel electrochemical approach has been proposed to measure the interface potential at the electrode/solution interface based on reconstructing the three‐electrode system of a potentiostat. In this work, the method was investigated both theoretically and experimentally. Mathematical expressions, describing current? potential characteristics, were derived. Zero current potential Ezcp was defined as the potential at which the current is zero based on linear sweep voltammetry, and was determined from the I? E curve to measure the interface potential. The experimental results obtained with the couples Fe(CN)63?/Fe(CN)64? and Co(NH3)63+/Co(NH3)62+ as examples agreed well with the theory. The hypergraph minimum bisection (HMB) problem is the problem of partitioning the vertices of a hypergraph into two sets of equal size so that the total weight of hyperedges crossing the sets is minimized. HMB is an NP-hard problem that arises in numerous applications – for example, in digital circuit design. Although many heuristics have been proposed for HMB, there has been no known mathematical program that is equivalent to HMB. As a means of shedding light on HMB, we study the equivalent, complement problem of HMB (called CHMB), which attempts to maximize the total weight of non-crossing hyperedges. We formulate CHMB as a quadratically constrained quadratic program, considering its semidefinite programming relaxation and providing computational results on digital circuit partitioning benchmark problems. It is well‐known that homogeneous electric fields can be used to generate giant unilamellar vesicles (GUVs). Herein we report an interesting phenomenon of formation of GUVs and lipid tubes simultaneously using a nonhomogeneous electric field generated by point‐to‐plane electrodes. The underlying mechanism was analyzed using finite element analysis. The two forces play main roles, that is, the pulling force (F) to drag GUVs into lipid tubes induced by fluid flow, and the critical force (Fc) to prevent GUVs from deforming into lipid tubes induced by electric fields. In the center area underneath the needle electrode, the GUVs were found because F is less than Fc in that region, whereas in the edge area the lipid tubes were obtained because F is larger than Fc. The diffusion coefficient of lipid in the tubes was found to be 4.45 μm2 s?1 using a fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP) technique. The method demonstrated here is superior to conventional GUV or lipid tube fabrication methods, and has great potential in cell mimic or hollow material fabrication using GUVs and tubes as templates. 相似文献
